An Instant Classic and One of the Great Love Stories of Our Time

Andre Aciman's Call Me by Your Name is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents’ cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. Each is unprepared for the consequences of their attraction, when, during the restless summer weeks, unrelenting currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion and test the charged ground between them. Recklessly, the two verge toward the one thing both fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy. It is an instant classic and one of the great love stories of our time.

Beautiful. This novel left me breathless from the vivid imagery to the passionate love story of two men. I couldn’t put it down! I finished it in two days.

I finished the book in a day, I couldn’t put it down. The love story is so beautifully written that transcends the cliche. It’s a love story between two humans, the all consuming fiery first love which everyone can relate to.

This story carried me from start to finish. Every word, line, and letter made this last paragraph hit so hard. Wow.
  • Stunning

I’m 18 years old, and I discovered about the book after watching the movie(which was good btw). Besides, anything people can say this books isn’t about two gay men. For me is about finding love in places you would never expect. And, that you cannot play with the heart, cause time pass by and the feeling, the love is still there ready to find just a lil moment to come out again.
  • Absolutely incredible

Rather than fall in love with the couple, this absolute masterpiece of a novel made me fall in love with the raw, gut-wrenching aspects of love itself. One of the most well-written, descriptive books I’ve ever read. I can’t imagine any reason not to love it.
  • The movie is way better

There are 4 chapters and the last chapter seems pointless and confusing. What is the author truing to say about these two men?
